One guess for Peace

One more confirmation for Peace

After posting about this on GardenWeb, these are the responses I received:

"IMHO, no. The color should be on the edges of the petals, not in the heart of the flower."

"Foliage should be glossy and yellowish green."

"Peace has a lot more petals as well."

"No, I don't think it is. The distribution of color does not seem right. It has been several years since I had Peace. Mine declined as it was virused, but I don't think the form or the color is exactly right."

"Looks like the Peace I grew for years.(Don't have it now.) It did not always exhibit those big fat full blooms we often associate with Peace, and sometimes it was flushed like your pics show, other times it was almost completely creamy. And sometimes it was various degrees between the two extremes.

Does it get BS? That ought to be a clue--and the reason I finally got rid of mine. "

"The foliage on Peace has kind of a bubbly slightly convex shape, not flat. The foliage looks too flat. Just doesn't "feel" like Peace to me."

"Peace does not have much of a fragrance, so you tell that way. I agree with reg pnw7, the pink color should be on the tip of the petals and not in the middle of the bloom. It should have more yellow towards the middle."

"It looks like Peace to me. There should be more petals than that but that could be natural variation. You can't tell by scent, my Peace is very smelly but several people have said theirs doesn't have a scent. It should start out very yellow with a pink edge, and gradually turn all pink. Try going to a local nursery and see if their Peace matches the rose you have. Almost any good nursery should have Peace and hopefully a few in bloom."

"It is definitely not Peace....I'm 100 percent sure. I have a peace rose and the foliage is all different. Peace has a darker green leaf with a good degree of gloss. Also the flower is mostly whitish with hints of yellow and pink."

"I, too, feel the foliage is wrong for Peace. The blooms look close, but Peace has more petals here."
